Israel, which has long been voicing concern over Iranian nuclear advances, attacked Tehran in the early hour of Friday, saying it targeted the country’s nuclear and military sites.
Initial reports say explosions rocked the Iranian capital with smoke rising from buildings.
News services including AP reported that black smoke could be seen billowing from Iran’s main nuclear enrichment facility at Natanz.
The facility had been previously a target of attacks.
