Trump-Musk feud grows stringent with new threats

The public feud between President Donald Trump and his former aide billionaire Elon Musk is growing stringent by the day with both trading new threats each other.

On Thursday, Trump said in a social media post that the “easiest way” for his administration to save money would be to “terminate” contracts and subsidies given to Musk, the Chief Executive Officer of Tesla electric vehicles manufacturing company.

Musk, the world’s richest man, until recently served as head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, which proposed several unpopular steps including mass layoffs of feeral workers. The Administration defends these as cost-cutting and downsizing measures.

The differences between the two personalities flashed forth when Musk took a swipe at President Trump’s tax-cutting “Big, Beautiful Bill,” terming it a “disgusting abomination.”

The president said Musk was well aware of the bill but Musk complained that it was rushed through the House of Representatives at night and that hardly anyone had gone through it fully.

Trump responded to the criticism by saying that he was disappointed in Musk’s opposition to the bill, which is yet to be passed by the Senate.

On his Truth Social media Trumpe wrote:

“The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.”

In another post, the president added, “Elon was ‘wearing thin,’ I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!”

Musk retaliated on X platform by writing, “Such an obvious lie. So sad.”

Soon the billionaire businessman posted another sharp reaction:

“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

In a recent comment, Musk claimed that without his financial support on the campaign trail, Trump would not have been elected and that he was showing ingratitude.

He also shared a post, backing an impeachment move against the president.

The fractures in relations between the two personalities were reported a few weeks ago, when it became apparent that Musk, who suffered financial losses, would leave DOGE to focus on his company.
